A word from the President

Dear Partners,

For the first time since the inaugural event, the 5th annual Financial Open will be held at McGill University – in the heart of downtown Montreal. It is with great enthusiasm that McGill University and the Desautels Faculty of Management will be hosting this year’s competition with the theme: A New Look at the Global Economy. The Financial Open is a prestigious inter-university competition between schools in the eastern seaboard. The competition gives way to over 300 students to compete in Finance & Accounting cases.

As President, and on behalf of my entire committee, I would like to invite your organization to take part in a competition like no other in Canada. The brightest and most sophisticated students in Finance & Accounting will all be competing on February 5, 6 & 7th, 2010 for the title of gold at the Financial Open. This is an opportunity for your firm to meet first hand future leaders in the business world. As a partner in this event, you will be given a competitive edge on recruiting the bright minds of tomorrow.

It is with partners such as yourself that makes this case competition possible. Since the very beginning, the Financial Open has attracted a number of corporate sponsors and more and more want to get involved due to the quality of the competition and the exceptional students involved.
